Our laboratory studies the molecular mechanisms regulating genetic and acquired cardiomyopathies to identify novel methods to prevent heart failure and sudden death. We utilize a variety of experimental systems which include animal model organisms, human induced pluripotent stem cell cardiomyocytes (iPS-CM) and human tissue samples.
